The Cherry Blossoms have come and gone, and Nen Daiko’s spring performance season is officially over. On April 19th, we rounded out the Cherry Blossom season with a performance in Charlottesville for the University of Virginia’s Japan Club at their annual Spring Festival. As always, there was a wonderful turnout and the crowd pumped up our energy. Our trainee, Jinelle, made her performance debut, and it was especially great that her family was able to come out to Charlottesville and watch! Thank you to everyone who came out to see us in Charlottesville, and around the DC area for the various Cherry Blossom festivities! We appreciate the support.
In case you haven’t noticed, yet… we love to eat. So, on our trip back up to Fairfax, we just HAD to stop at a place called the Moo Thru in Remington. They own a herd of cows and make their ice cream in house. Who doesn’t love fresh, homemade ice cream? If you ever get the chance to stop here, off of Rt. 29, you can’t go wrong with the cakebatter flavor. It was delicious! Next up for Nen Daiko? We are currently preparing for Obon on July 12th, at Ekoji Buddhist Temple in Fairfax Station, VA. We hope you will all be able to make it out! -Dee Comments are closed.
